Identity Verification Policy

What Identity Verified means

“Identity Verified” means that Genfora, or a verification provider working with Genfora, completed the identity-verification process required by Genfora at that time for that account.

The badge reflects only the specific information reviewed during that process, as of the date it was reviewed.

What Identity Verified does not mean

An Identity Verified badge does not automatically mean the Pro is:

• background checked or criminal-record screened
• licensed for any particular trade or jurisdiction
• insured or bonded
• endorsed, recommended or guaranteed by Genfora
• guaranteed trustworthy, honest or safe
• qualified or suitable for every service or every job

Separate verifications

License, insurance and other attributes are represented separately, and only where Genfora has actually reviewed the corresponding documentation. See the Licenses & Insurance Policy for what those statuses mean.

Accuracy, changes and revocation

Verification reflects information at a point in time. Circumstances change, and a verified status does not guarantee that the underlying information remains accurate.

Genfora may request updated documentation, re-verify an account, or remove a verification status where information appears inaccurate, expired, altered or fraudulently submitted. Submitting false verification information may result in account termination.

Customer responsibility

Customers remain responsible for evaluating whether a specific Pro is appropriate for their work, including asking for documentation directly when the job warrants it.
